Hi, my housemate and I share the same laptop, and he clicked on one of those fake notications on facebook saying someone likes or has commmented on your picture. We've both changed our passwords on most things, and I ran a full scan with kaspersky which picked up this (copied from the detected threats):
Detected vulnerability http://www.viruslist.com/en/advisories/38495
c:\windows\downloaded program files\photouploader5.ocx
Moderately dangerous
the discription is at this link:
http://www.viruslist.com/en/advisories/38495
I tried updating the lastest version of the facebook photo uploader, but it hasn't done anything, and kaspersky still detects it.
I have carried out what PhilliePhan asks to do prior to posting, but nothing seems to have been picked up by any of the scans (apart from MBA-M locating a file I had downloaded myself).
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I was also wondering if it is a serious threat to my computer security, if I wanted to bank online etc. Additionally, is there anything that I could do in the future to prevent getting stupid facebook viruses or similar (bar not clicking the link)??
Thanks, Jonny
