Please Download CWShredder from HERE and run the Program in safe mode . Press the "Fix Button" Let it fix all variants. Next, Close the program and all windows and IE windows and run hijackthis and Post a Fresh log.

Reboot to SAFE mode to run CWShredder

Then these 2 programs .
Ad-Aware and Spybot

Download the latest version of Ad-Aware at ADAWARE

Setup Ad-Aware .
After installing AAW, and before running the program, update reference files by using the bottom right button in the program, labeled "Check for Updates."

Launch the program, and click on the Gear at the top of the start screen.

Click the "Scanning" button.
Under Drives & Folders, select "Scan within Archives".
Click "Click here to select Drives + folders" and select your installed hard drives.

Under Memory & Registry, select all options.
Click the "Advanced" button.
Under "Log-file detail", select all options.
Click the "Tweaks" button.

Under "Scanning Engine", select the following:
"Include additional Ad-aware settings in logfile" and
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under "Cleaning Engine", select the following:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Click on 'Proceed' to save these Preferences.
Please make sure that you activate IN-DEPTH scanning before you proceed

Download SPYBOT

After installing Spybot S&D, update it by using the "Update" button on the left panel of the program. Search for updates and download anything it finds

And after that, please do the following:

Important: Create a folder on the C: drive called HJT.
You can do this by going to My Computer (Windows key+e) then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it HJT.
Unzip HijackThis into this folder. When you run HijackThis from this folder and have it "Fixed checked" it will create a backup file of modifications to use if restore is necessary.

Have Hijack This fix the following by placing a check in the appropriate boxes and selecting fix checked. Make sure all browser and all Windows Explorer windows are closed before fixing.

NOTE: Please copy and paste this post into notepad and save to you desktop. or print a copy of these instructions because you will be working with all windows closed except HijackThis.

Disabling System Restore on Windows XP

IMPORTANT NOTES:

You must be logged in as an Administrator to do this. If you are not logged in as an Administrator, the System Restore tab will not be displayed.
Turning off System Restore will clear out all previous restore points.
To turn off Windows XP System Restore:

NOTE: These instructions assume that you are using the default Windows XP Start Menu and have not changed to the Classic Start menu. To re-enable the default menu, right-click Start, click Properties, click Start menu (not Classic) and then click OK.

1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click the System Restore tab.
4. Check "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" as shown in this illustration:
5. Click Apply.
6. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this.
7. Click OK.
8. Proceed with what you need to do; for example, virus removal. When you have finished, restart the computer and follow the instructions in the next section to turn on System Restore.

Don't turn it back on until you fix the Worm!!
To turn on Windows XP System Restore:

1. Click Start.
2. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
3. Click the System Restore tab.
4. Uncheck "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives."

I can't believe this. I installed incredimail 2 years ago in conjuction with adding a second drive to my system and have had nothing but trouble ever since. Though it may not have led to all of my problems, it definitely was connected to some. For instance, I was experiencing system lock-up every time I tried to download critical updates.....and if I did get them loaded the system would freeze with no consistency to the activity I was performing at the time. Well, in trying to remove all of the incredimail features I locked up 3 times....even in safe mode. I really hope this was a major source of my trouble. What I don't understand is, with all of the assisted support I've had, why is it that no one ever pin-pointed this before? THANKS for bringing this to my attention.......

More on this later (it's dinner time in my end of the world), but Incredimail has not only a questionable history of what it does with the data it collects as you use the service and who they are affiliated with, but the program also has a history of causing bugs/crashes/conflicts such as you describe. Permanent and complete removal of the beast also seems to be somewhat difficult; I'll get back to you tomorrow with more info.

Now back to where this all began. The bridge.dll. I'm no longer getting the error message at startup, but it is still in my add/remove. How do I get it out of there....or should I not fret it. Also and odd WebFlds program with no add remove key is there. Through searching and reading I find a lot of people have this, but I've read conflicting reports about it. What gives?

I was going to suggest it a few times ,but some people love it and cant do with out it ,or so they think. so I was shying away from telling people to remoce it !!Nowing that it causes the problems it causes ,because I installed it once back in 97!!:)
WebFlds doesn't seem to be a problem ,seems to be a legit windows file/program.

Before manually editing the registry always back it up. On Windows ME and XP creating a Restore Point will do.
Click Start > Run > Type or copy & paste regedit. The registry editor will open.
Then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and delete the offending entry in the right hand pane.

Do you know what program this file relates to; it looks suspicious to me? The only info I could find on it is in languages which I don't speak or read: C:\WINDOWS\System32\ethernet32m.exe

Those viruses were all there before, but not found by hijacker because they were unchecked in selective startup mode. My Norton was out of commisson a couple of months back and that's when they all got in. I'll do some more work and see where it gets me....

To keep it that way, make sure to stay current with the lastest critical fixes from Microsoft by using Windows Update, and always make sure to check for the latest updates for your anti-virus and anti-spyware utilities as well. Use the automatic update feature of those programs if available.
