Something has taken over my PC and I need some help please

Hi,

Can anyone help. Something has taken hold of my machine. It drops focus on a window and I keep getting virus tk58 trojan virus message from AVG but I can't find anything thats doing this?

Well! I almost feel as if I have been put in the corner. The help that I tried to get with Tech Guy was some weeks ago. I thought the problem had gone away but it has not. I saw the promo material for this site saying it was supportive and willing to help. If the protocol is to return to Tech Guy then thats what I will do. I had not realised the two sites were connected?

I am just a basic computer user and I find this approach to be very gestapo ish is this all for real?

Daniweb has no connection (that I know of) with Tech Guy. The problem lies with the fact that you were receiving help from them and by the looks of things, just baled out on them without a word of thanks. The last post in your thread there was from the guy who was helping, which was

3 weeks with no reply.

You still have no anti-virus software running.

That thread by the way had also been merged with another thread you left unfinished there.
I can tell you that helpers such as myself have better things to do than volunteer our personal time to assist ppl with their pc problems, only to find that they pull up stumps before the job is finished.
I don't see how you equate what I posted with being like the Gestapo though?
I have zero influence with who helps you here and anyone can do so if they wish.
At least now though, those who do attempt to assist you can see what can happen to those that do so :D.
