Hopefully I am in the correct forum. I am a novice and new member . . .

I have been using a USB flash drive for backing up Quick books in order to work from the office and home. This I have done for at least 6 months. Tonight for the first time, I am getting a pop up message when I insert the flash drive, that reads:

You Need to format the disk in drive j: before you can use it. Do you want to format it?"

I am not seeing the usual icons of the back up as I normally do.

Can anyone assist me?
