Alrite,ive connectd my pc to my tv by vga i can see the screen but there is no sound ive got suuround sound which was plugged into my tv,so i thought this would work by changing an option on my tv 2 change audio to pc.but it doesnt work.ive got a cable whick pluuged in2 my old monitor would this work,ive tried puuting it in ever slot even the headphone but it doesnt work.can any1 help cheers

The sound needs to come from the computer ,so you need to plug something into the computers audio out plug on the computers sound card on the back of the computer,your surround sound speaker plug ,it need to be a mini pin male

VGA does not carry sound, you might want to look at a cable like this

You need to connect the audio cable...how about your HDMI ? Try connecting HDMI or any other audio out....
