I had a system32/drivers/ntsf error and found the way to fix it from microsofts site. But when I go into the recovery console. it wont allow me to enter the commands I received from microsoft. I ran a chkdsk and it says it's unrecoverable. I am really limited as to what it will let me do. Any suggestions???

Jump to Postyou dont need a new HDD. There is nothing physcially wrong with the HDD, you just need to fresh reinstall windows XP
Jump to Postdid you fix the bad sectors when you repartitioned?
when you reinstall windows and you format the drive there should be an ioption which asks for "quick format" or "full format" (full format checks for bad sectors and may help your problem)
