I recently upgraded my XP to Vista and I just realised I can't access the command prompt, the error I get is : volume in drive C has no label.
Any help on this?
Thanks

that just means your c drive doesn't have a label. so put a label on it!

How do I do that?
right click on it and give it a name
yeah thats how you do it in xp, dont know about vista (properties maybe?)
and its not really DOS btw, dos hasnt ever existed natively in windows NT based systems, its just a compatibility layer
just create a desktop shortcut to "cmd".
Or Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt
To change the volume label: Windows Explorer, expand the Computer folder, right-click on c:\, select Properties then enter the name in the edit box.
people use the start menu? ;)
