Don't you think it is wrong what you doing? It is you who want to build some application not us! So it should be you doing all research and then come here to ask question regarding problematic part or some issue with implementation and not opossite. Why is it that you always come here demanding somebody else to do your work?

The most logical thing to start out with would be Java2D...
And a lot of books about the topic to fully understand what you're going to need to be able to do in the software.
