Hi there I’m learning vb.net and my main outcome is to be able to find out how to create from scratch custom GUI controls like 7 Segment displays in vb.net mind you and once I have accomplished that to be able to connect the hardware to a serial port like db9 etc: to communicate with the software and control actual 7 segment led displays from software.

So I hope anyone with this knowledge can show me or guide me in the right direction on these specifics design from scratch?
I’m prepared to learn everything just to do this stuff .
