So a huge pet peeve of mine right now is that Adobe has discontinued purchasing any of their software (Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) outright, and now it's subscription only.
I know that Microsoft Office 365 is also subscription based, but correct me if I'm wrong, but they have a version you can purchase outright as well.
Adobe's price point is out of control, too, IMHO!
Does anyone other than me have a problem with this?

What do you use as a PDF editor? I do a lot of contracts on a regular basis that require generating PDF forms, filling out PDF forms, etc.
PDF form filling does not require an editor. Creating PDFs is built into Windows, Apple OS and LibreOffice.
It does require an editor when the PDFs that are supplied to me aren't fillable. The editor software generates the text boxes wherever it sees a blank line in the form.
Decades & never needed a PDF editor.
Just happened to me 3 days ago with a form from my dog's dermatologist. It was meant to be printed and filled out by hand but I have too much hand pain these days.

She has a GP (regular vet), dermatologist, ophthalmologist, and dentist.
She happens to have skin and eye conditions. She keeps getting recurring cysts all over her body that the dermatologist needs to either freeze off or use the laser or do a punch biopsy.
Welp, she is a Californian dog, so that would make sense. Side note: She also has better health insurance than most people in the US.
