Laptop will not power up. Using an FSB power adapter (universal) model#: FSP090-DMCB1. Laptop flashes the Power button for about 10 seconds then cuts out, only the charging light flashes after that, no other activity noted on system. Unknown whether or not this is the cause of a dead Ion battery or not, the battery is listed as a HP component # 395751-542 Date Code: 7J06C4. Would appreciate if someone has any ideas or at least if they can convert the date code into english so i can determine if its useful life is up. Thanks

try removing the battery and powering it only through the Ac power.
Do you hear it spin up or anything?
