heya all -

Ive been hijacked. Any webpage I try to access through google takes me to some other page, most net security related webpages including some of the ones in your "read this before posting for help" thread either get redirected or wont load at all.

Malwarebytes and spybot wont run at all, Adaware runs (finds nothing) but wont update nor run in safe mode (some error msg when I try) I tried reinstalling spybot but it wont connect to the server.

HijackThis wouldnt install but I read some posts here saying I should rename the instalation file and I did and it worked.

Geez, the people who make these malware programs are smart aint they? They pretty much thought of everything. I am surprised I was able to come here.

Hi and welcome to the Daniweb forums :).

Open Device Manager and on the VIEW Tab, select the Show hidden devices option.
Go down to non plug and play drivers and see if there is one called TDSSserv and disable it.

If it was found, reboot the pc and then run malwarebytes and post the log. Make sure you run it according to the following instructions;

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html) to your desktop.

* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* At the end, be sure to checkmark the Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.

Make sure that you restart the computer.

Thanks for the help - that worked great - things seem to be running fine now. I installed Comodo Firewall and hopefully that will keep out the viruses.
