Google/Yahoo search results redirecting to random sites

Hi,

Since about 3 days ago, results from search engine queries (Google and Yahoo) have been redirecting to random sites. I've researched this problem from another PC, and the advice given to other users facing this issue involves some analysis that is outside my comfort zone (e.g. using Combofix, changes to the registry) so any experienced/professional help is greatly appreciated.

As per the readme file for this forum, I have run various anti-malware programs such as Superantispyware, Spybot, MBAM, Windows Malicious Software Removal, Eset Online Scanner and ATF Cleaner. Unfortunately the problem persists. I have attached logs from HijackThis, DDS and Eset.

Hello, welcome to daniweb,

As you can see I have removed your attachments and copy/pasted the logs into your post as we prefer. The lone exception is the Attach log which remains attached as per instructions in the Read Me Post.

You did Not run the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware program as also instructed in the Read Me thread. Please do so now and post back with a copy/paste of the log.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBA-M) to your Desktop.

* DoubleClick mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install MBA-M.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt.

REBOOT after running MBA-M!

Then run the ESET Online Scanner again, this time Be sure the option to Remove found threats is checked and the option to Scan unwanted applications is Checked.
Reboot the computer.

After reboot run a new HiJackThis system scan and save the log.
Please copy/paste all three of those new logs here when you have finished these steps.

Run HJT again and place a check mark next to the following entry:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:5555

Then click the Fix checked button.

Next Then reset your proxy
In Internet Explorer: Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" and check to "Automatically detect settings".
Reboot the computer, update and run a new MBA-M scan and a new HJT scan.
Post back with the logs.

You need to download and run this tool LSPFix.exe Here also is the Read Me file for this tool lspfix.txt

The use of the tool will require you to reboot when it is finished. After it is complete and rebooted I would like for you to update MBA-M and run a new full scan. MBA-M released a new version yesterday and the program needs to be updated. This is an excellent tool to keep on the computer and use regularly BUT the #1 instruction for it's use is always update before each and every scan, which you did not do with your second run of the program yesterday. If you had you would have been given the new version.
After you have updated, which again will require a reboot since the new version will be installed, then run the Full Scan again, of course remove all items found and reboot
Then run a new HJT scan and post both logs here.
