The first thing you should do is uninstall that Norton rubbish. Your log shows it's disabled so it's doing nothing to help you anyhow!

Will do. What about all the BHOs and things listed as Service? Can any of these be 'fixed' with HJT? It just looks like a lot of junk. I have kids that use my laptop so I'm certain something is lurking out there. Should I buy AVAST? thanks for your reply

Crunchie or Jholland are better equipped than I to advise you about your DDS log, I only know the very basics about it!

You should also have posted the MBA_M log and the 2 logs from GMER as per the sticky.

As for BHO's, look in programs and features and uninstall anything you do not need/want.

Go into MSCONFIG after that and under the 'Startup' Tab, uncheck any programs you do not want starting with Windows.

Thanks Crunchie. I'll try again but didn't get anything from running the MBA_M or GMER programs. For BHOs, if I don't recognize it can I delete it? I understand some of them are good and most are bad. I'm just afraid to screw up my laptop. Thanks for your valuable feedback!!
