I have windows xp ultimate and I had received a virus in some part of my operating system. So I deleted it. Now my computer will not start up. Goes to the safe mode selection screen. And that is it. How do I fix this problem?

I'd start by booting into safe mode and restoring to before you deleted something you obviously shouldn't have. Then get proper virus removal software and use it.

I tried that and it still goes to the same menu.

Maybe you should try reinstalling the OS? Maybe you deleted something out of the system..

Maybe you can use the boot disk to do a system restore?

You said you have XP Ultimate, is that what you actually have or was that a typo?
