By the looks of it, the Key you entered is wrong.
Its possible that 'House' is a different network somewhere else, or that your stepdad changed the key.
Another possibility is that your router has been set not to broadcast the SSID, try setting up a wireless network manually, with the SSID as Rokonnell, the channel as 6 (this is usually the default, although if your stepdad has changed the SSID, he may also have changed the channel) and the key as you had before.
Failing that, you could always ask your stepdad what he has changed!
now theres something rude to come ou of that :P, but

One of our temps put white-out on the screen, any easy way to clean that?
I hope you're not being serious with that!
September 12th 2008 - Programmer's Day, In the calendar.
I wonder if I could get the day off as a 'religious' day?
Someone googled and removed the Adobe references :P
Don't use quicktime, baaad playback on windows machines, and not much can be done.
go to http://videolan.org/vlc and download VLC, I've never had a problem playing anything in it!
Do the other installs use a static IP as well?
Is there any encryption set up?
To me it seems as though the PC thinks it is connected as it has an IP address, although it has been set up as static and may well not be connected to the network.
Does the router show that the PC is connected (maybe a link similar to "attached devices" in the router web interface)?
You seem to really like the letters w, t and f
do you think he actually knows the offensive meaning?
I'm going for Used-Car salesmen, I worked for one, and he was the most dodgy guy I have ever met.
Hi, which O/S are you using?
I do some 2nd line support, one call forwarded to me from our helpdesk in Bangalore said the user needed access to the "Asia-Specific" part of the site.
Or maybe it's the 'sea' language. Maybe, there are a prime number of oceans after all.
yes, the 7 seas, many a man has sailed them and I'm sure if you found one, they could tell you how to find a prime there?
It seems uniquestar and I will have to team up to have any chance of success. Alone neither of us is evil enough, together we might just make it (my genius combined with his cat...).
My cat is big, black and mean. Expect claws if he doesn't like you :ooh:

Oh yes , looks like either you belog to the royal family or inherit few oil fields in middle east asia and hence can live without money .
Actually, No, Neither.
I'm on a placement year from university, earning just enough to keep solvent this year, and have a big student loan and overdraft. I will be returning to Uni next year, and have difficulty getting by on the student loan, but I cope.
I respect Daniweb's image of a not-for-profit community which consists of people giving their time freely because they enjoy it, rather than posting just to earn money.
I also am not looking to turn this thread into another ream of abuse.
Hi All,
I'm thinking about starting my own website, but I would like some recommendations as to where to host it.
I'm want a host that supports ASP.NET but also PHP (attempting to learn both, so need somewhere to test). I want a reasonable amount of storage / banwidth as I also intend to use the site for a bit of file dumping.
I also want to be able to register the domain name with the same place, for ease of use.
My other problem is that of a small budget.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
i mean, how does it know to use the windies printer subsystems, cups, lpr , whatever?
wouldnt that involve rewriting a lot
If you think in perspective with the whole O-O Project, then a re-write for printing is only a small percentage of the code.
big rewrite? maybe, if its one person, but for a large project like this?, not really, not compared to everything else.

Just to cement the issue, any chance of something added to the rules forbidding commercial advertising in signatures?
(Kind of like the Royal Parks in London, No vehicle advertising services is allowed in (including Driving Schools))
OO is developed as cross platform, so apart from some OS-Standard menus/buttons, its practically the same on all platforms.
So are you suggesting that along with the large amounts of adverts already posted over DaniWeb, which are there solely to keep this site online (none of which I can actually see due to the fact that my work proxy manages to block them all), you are suggesting that individual users earn money by putting adverts in their signatures, therefore wrecking the image that DaniWeb is here to help, not to become a business?
Assuming you're using XP:
Open Network Connections --> Right click on your connection (e.g. Lan or Wireless, whichever is connected) --> Status --> Support.
The IP Address listed after 'Default Gateway' will be that of your router.
By the looks of it, if you've just reset your router, then you will have an open wireless connection. Set the encryption or you won't be the only one using your connection.
I thought that the Continent was Australasia, including New Zeland, New Guinea and Papua New Guinea as well
No-one's mentioned the old Dell Dimension! :P
(shoot me now)
