Re: That noise is usually the hdd. Go to the manufacturers site and download their diagnostic tool and run it. Most of these will require you to transfer this download to a floppy to boot from.

It has been suggested my another member that teens are unjustly stereotyped as being bad drivers. Personally I don't believe this because it conflicts with the current general consensus that the stereotypical bad driver is either a woman or a minority. My contention is that teens aren't bad drivers, but …

Re: First off...use only one anti virus at a time, they do not play well together, especially snorton. With the combination of infections and missing files I would suggest wiping, not a format, the hdd and reinstalling the OS. You can download WipeDrive for this purpose. If you still have infections …
Re: A couple of things come to mind, have you run scans for infections? Bear in mind that reformatting may not delete some viruses, you will need to either get rid of them by using anti virus, anti spyware...or wipe the hdd and start fresh that way. Reformatting only deletes the …
Out of the seven web sites that I visit or use on a regular basis this site is consistently the slowest to open pages. Granted I'm using a dial up connection that averages 26.4kbps, but the other sites open much faster. Can anyone here explain why this is?

Re: Are you sure that you have the on/off header pins properly wired? There is an interaction that occurs between the PSU and the motherboard when it is first turned on. The motherboard shorts the green wire in the 20/24 pin connector to ground to turn on the PSU. If the …

Re: If it didn't take it out introducing the hdd to the chipset of another motherboard could corrupt the OS.
Re: ECC is error correcting RAM which typically was found in servers and is slower because of the extra chip monitoring the others. Motherboards that run on PC133 could be picky about what RAM they would like to see, the cas latency and voltage should be ok but you may have …
