Can't update spyware + browser issues

Hi,

I had a nastie today, I've run complete scans, but I can't update any spyware programs and many sites fail to load (DNS error?). I had a whole host of problems, including security cneter going missing and random redirects in firefox. Security center is back now and have't had a redirect or pop-up for a little while. But google is really slow.

I haven't got the latest HJT as the website won't load (as per the problem) This log is from the HJT i have:

Hi b1977 welcome to daniweb. Sorry this response has been so long in coming.
For now let's work from this older version of HJT.
One thing you MUST turn off is the AdAware Service. It can interfere with fixes tried. It isn't needed really.
Close ALL OTHER OPEN WINDOWS
Run HJT again and place check marks next to the following entries;

Once you have placed the check marks click the Fix Checked button
Exit HJT.
Now one thing you have installed is BOONTY Games. Actually should be considered dangerous. Here is why from their own privacy policy;

"We also may share payment information with third parties who provide payment services and share aggregate data regarding the type and number of videogames you download, your age, gender, occupation, education level, geographic location, computer equipment data and on-line and video game interests, activities and practices to game publishers. In addition, we share e-mail addresses with third party e-mail carriers who assist us in sending out our e-mails to many of our customers at the same time. Subsidiaries and controlled affiliates are not viewed as third parties for the purpose of data transfers, and hence personal information may be shared within those subsidiaries and affiliates without obtaining additional consent."

Another KEY bit of information Will not uninstall from Add/Remove programs.
You should manually attempt to remove it this way;
Clean your Cache and Cookies in IE:
Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > General tab.
Click the "Delete Cookies" button and then the "Delete Files" button next to it.
When prompted, place a check in: "Delete all offline content", click OK.

Clean your Cache and Cookies in Firefox:
Go to Tools > Options. Click Privacy in the menu on the left side of the Options window.
Click the Clear button located to the right of each option (History, Cookies, Cache).
Click OK to close the Options window.
Alternatively, you can clear all information stored while browsing by clicking "Clear All".
A confirmation dialog box will be shown before clearing the information.

Clean other Temporary files + Recycle bin
Go to start > run and type: cleanmgr and click ok.
Let it scan your system for files to remove.
Make sure Temporary Files, Temporary Internet Files, and Recycle Bin are the only things checked.
Press OK to remove them.

Show Hidden Files and Folders
Windows XP

* Click Start and then double-click My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm the changes.
* Click OK.

Locate & delete the following folder in bold:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\BOONTY Shared\

*Right click the folder and select delete.
Reboot the computer.
Run HJT again and post the log here.
