Hijack this log, laptop crashes several times daily!

My 1 yr old HP tablet freezes at least twice a day now, requiring rebooting. I'm using Vista Ultimate on it.

Sometimes, it just freezes out of nowhere and needs rebooting.

Anytime I plug something into the USB port, it freezes and I have to reboot.

WHY is this happening? Any help is greatly appreciated.

It should NOT have found HiJackThis, that is not an infection and MBA-M would not have "found" that.
Please post the MBA-M log for us. It can be found by opening the program and click on the Logs tab. Double click to open the log, then copy/paste that log here.

I apologize if I led you to believe that my instructions were comprehensive. As Judy requested, please take the next step and attach your log file.

There are a lot of missing files in your HijackThis log. I would say to Click start then run, type sfc /scannow then press enter to replace the system files. Note that this will not replace third-party files. Next I would click start, programs, accessories, right-click Command prompt and select Run as Administrator. In the Command Window, type chkdsk /f
You will be prompted to schedule a boot-time scan. Agree, and reboot.
After the scan attach another HijackThis log.

Correction!!! Sorry, You cannot run sfc /scannow from the Open dialog box in Vista. In stead, you will need to run that in a commad window as Administrator!

This is perfectly normal when running HiJackThis on a computer running the Vista operating system. There is NOTHING wrong there and NO missing files.
Please post the MBA-M log as I requested.
