I have a dell Inspiron 4000 for school and lately the screen has been getting discolored. All the white sections, like in word, have a giant green blob with lines that jump around. Is my lcd shot or is it a fixable problem?

LCD could very well be bad. Sometimes, you can pull off the plastic strip above the keyboard, and reseat the LCD cable, but it's not always possible.
