By the way the dells have a crappy design. Many good graphics cards need two slots (one for the card, one for the fan) but dell put the PCI-X x16 at the end so theres no slot cover for the fan.

boot off the XP cd and during the blue screen part of install there are sections for partitioning and formatting. unless your system has some wierd config you should just need to make one big partition of type NTFS and install windows to it.

Its a firewall issue. Had it on Server 2008 (after installing the wireless networking feature). Seems if windows firewall is set to "block all incoming connections", then wireless will not work, at least in my setup (WPA2 enterprise using RADIUS certificate server) Uncheck ""block all incoming connections" and it works.

for better results disable the welcmoe screen. then you get an NT style login window with the control-alt-del thingy when you lock your workstation

Generally it "just works". Most USB and ps2 scanners have "keyboard wedges". They are just seen by the OS as a keyboard.

My Windows Server 2008 install with visual studio, sdks etc... comes to just under 40gb. 45 or 50gb is just about okay for a developer machine Vista/2008 supports resizing partitions natively so if its not enough, it can shrink your xp one and expand itself into that space.

What? What are you actually trying to do? Um, do you really mean to do assignment (=) or do you mean to compar for equality (==) ? If so, dont you mean if ((C2 == (A2 + B2)) && (D == (A + B + C))) { }

You need an F6 floppy for XP to work with your SATA controller (if its not in ATA mode) and/or RAID card. - But you can get around this by slipstreaming the *.inf chipset drivers using Nlite

If its a built in (a.k.a hidden) card it probably has a weak signal. Buying one of those PCMIA cards with the big fold out ariels might give you a better reception?
