Go into control panel -> system go into startup and recovery under Advanced, and make sure Automaticaly Restart is unchecked. Next time it bluescreens it should stay up, so you can write down the details for us.

Dont know about HJT logs, but you can cleanup unneeded temporary files etc... using "CCleaner" and "ATF cleaner" (used together = ver effective)

have you even bothered to google it? all a .css file is a a text file with instructions in it about how the page is rendered. you can use a third party program to do it or you can simply make it in notepad and save it with the extension …

Its windows fault. I know that if i plug either my mouse or keyboard into a new USB port then i have to leave it for ages (sometimes up to 45 mins), but that usuallly fixes it - until someone uplugs it again :(

belenix is pretty buggy, its solaris based so i think it uses a different bootloader and/or filesystem to linux

You gotta hit F6 during the bluescreen bit and load the driver from a floppy. had to do it myself on an old compaq proliant server. check your essentials pack for the disk. And use smartstart to install the OS.

btw if its an emachine the motherboard (and probaby the case, and posssibly the psu too) will be nonstandard so its probably best to just bin it instead of repair it.

My laptop did that and the setting to disable volume beep was in the BIOS. Check your BIOS.

A Geforce 8600 is cheap and will run it pretty well (on medium/high). Get the 512mb version (not the 256). P.S if your PC has a crappy X300, it may need an upgraded power supply.

Back up anyway (not to that drive obviously). I initially thaught maybe the drive was just dying (3 year old drive, its possible) and the beeping was a SMART alert. But that doesnt explain the mouse going crazy. Is it a USB mouse then? Or PS/2?
