have you tried with a "background-size:cover" css?

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I've never used this, but you can try it, DriverPack Solution, from this link: http://drp.su/

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

try the link above or this one, should work for 7 as well:
Automatic Login Windows Account

If I've got the correct game, http://grandchase.gamerage.com, the minimum specs concerning RAM and Graphics are as follows for an XP machine:

RAM: 512MB
Graphics: GeForce 6000 series (which should be around 256MB memory)

Unless you give us your exact specs, we'll not be able to help you further. Moreover, just for info, Windows 7 is recommended to use min. 1GB RAM

I would suggest you download Speccy from Piriform.com, install and run it on your machine, and give us the details

try to see with a new theme, if same then I believe problem lies elsewhere, and would be better for you to get support from the Joomla community itself

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I've never updated my Joomla but if you have followed the exact instructions I doubt it could corrupt your files. Did you do any backup before updating? Could do a rollback if so. Did you follow these instructions?

Sorry if am not being too helpful, as I've never created any chm file so far, however, i've opened a chm file with images present in it, and from the image properties I've gathered, it still looks for the Images folder in my case to display them in the file (precompiled with the file it seems, as in the folder containing the chm file I did not find the Images folder).

This is the URL I obtained for the image from the chm file (right clicking on image->Properties):

mk:@MSITStore:C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\All%20Users\Documents\Components\graphics32-1-8-3\Graphics32.chm::/Images/rp_001.png

However, when I decompiled the chm file using the html tool, it did decompile the Images folder separately, and sure enough there was the rp_001.png image in it.

And looking at the source code of the page calling the image, here is what I found:
<img src="../../Images/rp_001.png">

From my path on my PC, the html page which had the image was found under this specific path (after decompiling):
Decompiled\Docs\Additional Topics

while the Images folder was in the Decompiled folder

The Decompiled folder was created by me to extract the files/folders from chm file.

May be you should have another look at some in depth docs concerning HTML workshop if there are any available, and try create a temp image when the file is being opened on a remote pc. Also if you have not done it, try use relative paths instead of absolute paths in URLs.

Once you have published the article, go to article manager, and make the page a featured one, this should do the trick. To make it featured, just click on the icon in the Featured column, on the same row of your article. You can also unset the default featured page, and change the orderings as required.

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I believe for the images you need to make them available on the other machine as well, by saving them in the same path as on your local machine, else use a server to host the images and use that url instead to access them. Can you specify which tool you are using to make the chm file?

From the Dell support page:

8 beeps Video memory read/write error. Missing or faulty video adapter.

If you want to test the card on any PC, it should work as soon as you plug it in and switch on, of course provided it is still in working condition, even if there is no driver installed at that time

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Just in case, see whether you do have write permissions to the folder

looks like a failure in the windows system files, if you have the windows dvd try repair your system, but try follow these steps first, if still not good then repair: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753659.aspx

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Is there any antivirus software enabled which could be blocking access to the file/folder?

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Try right click on the setup file of the software you want to install and then click on Run as Admin in the context menu

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

You can google Web icons 2.0 to get similar packs, some are free while others need to purchase from the author
Else if you want to create your own, you must be well versed with design and creative as well, and can use Photoshop to do your own icons:

Am not sure, like I said before, I had to go in depth with MatLab to do my own project (with the use of Hidden Markov Model toolbox + Voicebox), but I think on google I found something called WinDentify, which is for Windows logon, try to google it and see, but its not freeware. Can give this link a try as well http://www.loquendo.com/en/products/speaker-verification/

I know that Microsoft does provide Speech Recognition engine with Windows, where it can be used in apps like MS Word, but not suitable for your purpose.

See also this link for some examples in MatLab:
http://www.speech-recognition.de/matlab-examples.html

Sorry if am not helping too much, the said project I developed was a university one, and I've almost lost track of the processes I did in it :)

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I had worked on a similar project some years back, as far as I can tell (unless changes have happened), there were no ready-made projects as such, and I had to develop it from scratch using MatLab software. I found an SDK here which could be useful to you: http://www.voicerecognition.com/products/dragon/developersuite.html
But I believe it is best you investigate and come up with your own software for this, of course you will need some prebuilt dlls or sdks as well if you want to integrate it with windows, mine was for a VB application

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I've seen an example here: http://www.tagindex.net/css/table/max_height.html
try to review your code to see if anything has been missed

try follow this link :http://www.thewwwblog.com/import-bookmarks-into-google-chrome-browser.html

else backup the bookmarks in firefox (Bookamrks -> Show All Bookmarks) -> (Library->Import and Backup button -> Export html, in window opened) , which will generate an html file to store on your hard-disk. then, open chrome, open the bookmark manager, click on Organise -> import bookmarks, and find the saved html file to import.

hope this helps

At logon there won't be a whole lot of background pgms running, certainly no third party apps, and the internet connection quality will hardly be a bugbear then. Most malware won't have started at that time [cannot be ruled out, though]. Sure, 4 GB of mem is more than XP can recognise, but one bad bit is one too many. Bluescreens with W7, slow login with XP...

Not sure concerning the processes, the lad may have an antivirus kit loading, and I know some antivirus which start scanning as soon as you logon, in the background. But could also be a hardware problem somewhere like you mentioned, a heavily fragmented hard-disk
Am on Windows 7 for a long time on a Pentium D and no BSOD or any crash for nearly 8 months now, so it could be a hardware incompatibility issue, or in case of overclock, reset the bios to default to see how the system behaves

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

you can try get a tool like CCleaner to clean the registry for redundant entries
Check also the startup folder to see if a startup shortcut for this prog exist there

skilly commented: i also like CCleaner +3
Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

check also background processes running in the task manager, some can be closed to speed up the system, like wise for some services running, and also check virtual memory settings as well
btw 4GB is more than required to run xp, so i dnt think its a memory problem, but still run the test as suggested by gerbil if needed

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I would suggest to uninstall it and clear the registry. Also if the need be, rebuild the icon cache as well

can use this as well as system cleaner: http://system-cleaner.comodo.com/#free-windows-system-cleaner-expert-help

I have Revo Uninstaller Pro installed as well, excellent to use as an uninstaller, and provides the option to remove files from registry as well after uninstalling an app

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Could be you have installed many apps on the system, and as such many processes are running in the background, thus the cause for the delay to load
However, IE6 is no longer recommended, upgrade it to 8 or continue with Chrome or Firefox

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Usually you just need to connect your monitor's vga cable to the laptop vga port and you could download and install an additional tool like Ultramon for dual monitor purposes

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Netmeeting supported upto XP I think, then they phased it out of newer Win OS

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

COuld be they have been damaged, just in case to be sure, try grab a pair of headphones from a friend to test, else it could be a corrupt sound driver or damaged sound card

To access own folders is easy, just share the folders from your pc itself, then using the network drive mapping function in Windows, you can easily access the shared folders from the other pc while being connected to it

To access LAN or remote computers, without disconnecting the other user, install and use either TeamViewer or TightVNC (Server and Viewer)

Both computers need to have the apps installed to allow access

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

try clean the system using kaspersky, and also clean the registry with a cleaner tool like ccleaner or registry mechanic to see what happens afterwards

hi blocker, just use the code here, you missed the : before the D for the first part, see code below and use it

E:\I386\winnt32.exe /syspart:D: /tempdrive:D: /makelocalsource /noreboot
Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Change the smileys above to : D but no spacing between them

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

No CD/DVD drive on the laptop to boot from it?

Well you may try this:
1) Connect the HDD to/in your working desktop system.

2) Format the drive.

3) insert your windows cd in the drive, and exit when it pops up asking what you want to do.

4) Go to "My Computer" and look at the drive letters of the CD-rom containing the XP disk, and also the drive letter of the hard drive you are installing to.

5) Assuming the hard drive is "D" and the XP cd is in "E:", go to the run command and type (or cut and paste):

E:\I386\winnt32.exe /syspart:D: /tempdrive:D: /makelocalsource /noreboot

6) setup will begin and ask you if you want to upgrade or full install, make sure it is FULL INSTALL. It will then ask you for a few more things including the CD key.

7) When it goes back to your desktop, turn off your PC and remove the external hard drive. It is now ready for install in the new system. It will simply continue to install windows from this point.

8)boot up the hard drive on your laptop

Hope this helps, as I tried it once and was successful, but has instead connected the HDD as slave drive in my computer instead of USB connector used, then plugged back to another pc to finish install and used

Capacitors are not welded to the board, they are soldered.

Oups my mistake, always confuse with these 2 :)

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

You have a CRT monitor? If so it could be the monitor which is giving up (which happened in my case), else its definitely a capacitor in the card which could be damaged, and might thus need to replace the card itself, or you could just try move slightly the capacitors, which should remain fix to the card unless one has been overheating and got loose welding

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I dont know about copying part of a movie, but I know most of the available video converter tools allow conversion to avi or other formats from DVDs, thus saved on your harddisk. As for manipulating the converted video, some tools are available, like corel video studio, or Kate's video cutter (can google for more). You can also rip the dvd using a dvd ripper or decrypter tool, and from there work with the .vob files if available, or the ifo file for the whole movie (there usually 2 ifo files present, use the second one, which is like VTS_01_0.IFO)

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

It could happen that the disk from which the ISO has been created was present with a bad sector or something thus duplicated in the ISO. Some disks also have some kind of protection to prevent them from being copied directly but can be made into ISO files, and thus require to use a decrypter first then copy the contents from it instead of burning the ISO directly, whereby the use of a virtual drive to mount, a decrypter app to be able to copy/rip the files to a new folder then burn them to disk.

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

The 2 DVDs are wasted. Just in case, try to install a virtual drive, and mount the ISO file on it, usually can use this 1 : http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html

Mount the ISO after installing the software and creating a virtual drive, and I suggest u try to copy the contents from the ISO to a folder on the hard-disk, then burn to DVD as data dvd.

Or try google: Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 Free, and install it and burn from it to see.

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

in the taskmanager, you can try to see which process is using much memory and kill it if it is unneeded, else I would suggest install TuneUp Utilities and clean the registry and other unwanted files to speed up the pc

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

Well may be you could use a virtual keyboard in this case to type, try google up "multilingual virtual keyboard" or something similar.
But yet again, whether the sites editor, like on fb or others, will accept the texts is another issue which you may need to test for.

Ritesh_4 71 Posting Pro

I think to write emails and in facebook etc, it's the editor which must support this language, and not the browser, like I've seen an icon to change to indian language in Gmail's email editor

However, just in case, you could try the addons for Firefox on this link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/extensions/language-support/

A more specific addon could be: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/google-transliteration-formerl/

or y not add the firefox addon of the tool u mentioned above: http://www.lipikaar.com/download/firefox
hope it helps
