How in the world could anyone look at that picture and NOT notice her dress ????
Because it's not that big of a deal. I mean, everyone has their own fashion trends. So what if the thing was ugly?

um no he wants to continue the war in afghanistan
I was quoting what I have been hearing from various "friends."
That's why I said they were ignorant.
We haven't had one of those in quite awhile. Since about when christina stopped posting.
But now that she is back we are guaranteed one. ;)
Well I don't know about all this, but I'm not trying to make another "God thread," and I don't intend to either.
I was just stating my passions in life.
What is it that most intrigues you, the most important thing you pursue?
Nursing, love, God.
Look at the title, you are supposed to react/think about the commercialized part of the holidays. Give your wooden nickels worth of outcry about the demeaning of the holy man's birthday.
I just tend to think of it as giving like Christ would give.
edit] didn't mean to post. Sorry.
Water.
The taste of two hydrogen atoms mingling with an oxygen atom is unbeatable.
Haha... chemistry is awesome.
I'm single, would like to get married but don't see happening. I'm one of those people that are meant to be alone.
I don't think anyone is meant to be alone... unless they're an old grump! :)
I would die to go to Japan .. :*
I've been to Tokyo.. :)
Welcome to Daniweb!! *hehe*
I've never heard of putting ketchup on eggs. I have heard of putting it on mashed potatoes though. Yuck!
Ok, you found the other guys attractive, did you consciously (eek bad spelling) decide that? or was it more of an instinct? I know I don't chose, it's either there or it's not. You chose not to get with the other guys but you did find them attractive. In the same way a guy could find other guys attractive but chose to be with a girl?
Not sure if I'm explaining myself at all.
I understand your explanation... I did find the other guys attractive, but I chose not to pursue after them. And sure, men could like other men and women could like other women, but that doesn't mean you're born that way. And if they chose to be with a girl, wouldn't that make them bisexual? Wait a minute... are people born to be bisexual? No. It's just raging hormones.
Can you prove you were not born hetrosexual ? No, you can't prove that either. Think of it this way then: how difficult would it be for YOU to "choose" to become a lesbian ? My guess -- practically impossible even if we ignored the Bible. So then, did you "choose" to become a hextrosexual or were you born that way? At what point in your life did you conscientiously decide that you like men rather than women. Again, you probably didn't -- you made that decision without even thinking about it.
Okay, here is where I can prove that homosexuality is a decision... first of all - …
I mean, all people were created in the image and likeness of god.. and if gayness is not a choice then god created it. IF god created it.. and he blatantly bashes it throughout the bible.. then the only conclusions that can be drawn are that one, God is a hypocritical, angry god or two, there is no god since the biblical and scientific evidence would be conflicting. =)
... God created Adam and Eve... not Adam and Steve. Man decided to create their lifestyle, not God. That's why He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.
i have never seen anything about women having sex with women in the bible but about men it is very clear.
Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
My views on homosexuality:
Religiously - it is wrong in the eyes of God and condemnable (evidence can be found in both the Old Testament and New).
Personally (don't hate me...) - it's completely unnatural. I do not believe it is genetic and unless someone can prove to me 100% that it is, I will contine to think that it is just some absurd theory that helps homosexuals sleep better at night. I believe it is solely based on decision. I've had a couple gay friends during high school and one of them actually told me that he didn't even believe that people were born that way. It's the same as someone choosing who they want to date or marry. I do believe that hormones can influence a person's decision, but that doesn't mean they were born that way. Homosexuality is simply just a chosen lifestyle and nothing else.

Ok so let me try to translate...
You don't know what we're talking about even though the title of the thread is called smoking. You like to smoke weed. You're not a nerd. You like girls. And because of girls you somehow smoke. You love it and you think we're all female dogs.
Is this correct?
>And I like to prove her wrong.
A lot of people like to prove me wrong. Why? Because it happens so very rarely. And you're not among those who are capable of doing it.
Keep thinking that.
Just because you're ignorant doesn't mean you're right.
Ignorant? I'm a nurse. My whole life is based around studying medicine, conditions, diseases, and treatments. And yes, I am right.
Try looking for studies that link moderate amounts of nicotine to the prevention and treatment of mental disorders. Or studies that have shown nicotine to help ulcerative colitis, increase libido, and improve memory. I remember a study that linked smoking to preventing breast cancer. And of course, due to the effects of smoking we can count stress relief as yet another benefit.
I've seen these studies, and doctors use all kinds of drugs, even illegal drugs for the benefit of the patient. But does this mean that people on the streets should be using and abusing them? NO.
I'm not saying that these benefits outweigh the negative aspects, but I'm also not doing what you are: the text equivalent of putting my fingers in my ears and saying "lalalalala!".
You're not even making any kind of sense. I have studied the effects of smoking. I know how it can be a positive effect on the human body and how it can become a death stick.

conact has been made!!! woot woot we havent said a time and place yet but she said she would like to hang ou with me WOOT WOOT
Interesting way to get a date. But hey, good luck.
>I didn't realize that you couldn't do that in a BLOG.
What? Take someone else's work and post it as your own? That kind of applies everywhere, don't you think?
I didn't mean to post it as my own; I gave the link to the source. I got it in an email and thought it was interesting, so I reposted it on here.
>You can stop with the harassing remarks now.
I'm not harassing you. You're just too sensitive.
Yeah, I'm too sensitive and you're too mean. Fair enough?
I know. It makes me wonder how safe rides really are.
And naturally you're qualified to make that choice. :icon_rolleyes: Tell me, have you ever thought to ask a smoker not to smoke around you? I have, and to date nobody has ever refused to give me space or put out their cigarette when I asked politely. Most of the time they immediately put it out and don't light up again while I'm around. Smokers aren't evil people who intentionally try to hurt you, so stop trying to act righteous.
Actually, I have and they refused. Not every situation is the same, "genius."
And we're not talking about just one person smoking, we're talking about smoking in public places such as restaurants.
Cause that is an obvious answer.
I don't know of too many that have read the entire Bible.
I was not born with a primary purpose to marry someone and nothing else. I don't see why both can't be possible. I also think it would be unorthodox and I doubt it myself, but just because it would seem taboo doesn't mean it is necessarily wrong.
It would be completely unnecessary. Jesus wasn't a normal human being. His whole life and death was dedicated to saving the lost, nothing else. He was God in flesh, and His purpose was entirely different.
So is walking the Earth itself. If I get married that doesn't mean I fell into temptation.
Not you, of course.
Were you born with a primary purpose to seek and save the lost?
Marriage is strongly encouraged by God himself, but that would have taken so much away from Jesus' ministry.
Have you told your children that smoking is harmful?
I'm afraid that they might follow after your path and begin to smoke during their adolescent years.
I keep them nowhere near the smoke. And I avoid places that allow it when they're with. How do you figure?
Well even if they're not around, the smoke still lingers in the air if you're inside. Still, it's a good thing that you're keeping them away from it.
The problem is, children are more likely to smoke if their parents do.
"He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him."
My personal opinion, smoking is very unattractive.
(I feel the bad reps coming......)
Just try to type more clearly.
We can't understand you.
how about you refute the multiple studies done showing that intelligence is inversely related with religion
Ok.
>Are you being serious? Child abuse??
If one can successfully argue that forcing your beliefs on your children may be damaging, it's easy to associate that action with child abuse.
I've never really known someone that has forced their children into religion. In rare cases, I've seen that happen to PKs (Preacher's Kids)... but when that does occur, the children just choose to rebel.
However, to what The Dude posted... I don't think calling it "child abuse" is appropriate.
It is bordering on child abuse.
Are you being serious? Child abuse??
>I bet you put a lot of thought into your comments before you post.
As a matter of fact, I do. Not that you would understand, of course.
Yeah, I usually have better things to do besides trying to make myself look superior on the internet. Thanks for the compliment.
>I'll let you keep pretending that you exceed at hurting my feelings.
Hmm, either you have a curious concept of conjugation, or you picked the wrong word.
Or maybe you just don't comprehend.
Lol don't make fun!
>A - Always trust them to God's care
>B - Bring them to church
>E - Exalt the Lord in their presence
>P - Pray for them by name
>Q - Quicken your interest in their spirituality
>S - Show them the way of salvation
>Y - Yearn for God's best for them
>Z - Zealously guide them in biblical truth
I'm seeing a lot of bible beater repetition here.
...And what's wrong with that?
I like romance novels.
And anything from Nicholas Sparks... The Notebook, Nights In Rodanthe, A Walk To Remember... etc.
Have fun. :)
I probably won't be on for a week either because I'm going to Pigeon Forge.
What is your favorite vacation site?
They call it a "medical condition" when truthfully, it's just a dose of reality.
And I personally think she needs some more of that.
> No employer is going to hire you just because you say you have
> "good experience" backed up with no certifications.
Thats an ass backward way of saying things. You need certifications only when you don't have enough experience to cover your back and that too, to fool employers who think certification is more important. If you must know, experience beats 'just certification' hands down. Of course, if you have a piece of paper with your experience, it changes the scenario.
I never said certifications beat experience. I'm just saying that whatever the situation, it's still good to be certified.
For example, I'm a Nursing Assistant (NA), and I have the experience needed to complete a NA's tasks, but I'm not a CNA - certified [yet]. The hospital will hire me, but a nursing home will not -- just because I don't have my certification.
I know that's a little different than the computer world, but I think that certifications are always good to have behind you.
Here's another joke of the day that I thought was pretty funny. :)
A thief stuck a pistol in a man's ribs and said, "Give me your money."
The gentleman, shocked by the sudden attack, said "You cannot do this, I'm a United States Congressman!"
The thief said, "In that case, give me my money!"

lol.. he just needs a little discipline.. like a dog.. It's bad when guys get whipped in a relationship.. sometimes I even feel sorry for them :(
Well he's been happy for 2 1/2 years, so I think he's pretty content. ;)
I think it's sad when guys are whipped without the benefits of a real relationship. Like the girl tells the guy to jump and he asks "how high?" Lol.
Duki and I make each other happy and that's what truly matters.
So back to destiny? ;)
