I'm going to have to get one of these eventually, but the price is crazy now. I see a bright future for the iPhone. :)

I know another bonus that iTunes had that others didn't is that its reputable. I dunno about anyone else, but my folks arn't the type that throw credit card numbers to obscure websites, and I think that's partly the issue here.

I havn't been a big fan of Java lately. Very nice point expressed in that last paragraph. However, one aspect of it all that wasn't touched on is the new strategy by certain record companies to prevent music from being coped into any other form. When that happens, most of the quality of the CD is lost. IMO, this …

In one sense, I would disagree with it. I personally think that a surprise opening to the public encourages mass-buying. Take the iPod for example. From what I recall, it wasn't highly advertised when first released. Then, compare it to its initial success.

I second it. Just because a company has at one time released a program, it needn't constantly protect it while its still in common use.

Completely agreed with Xpenetrator. The short answer is yes for several reasons. 1) The absolutely critical patches (aka 0-day patches) patch vulnerabilities that normal anti-viruses/firewalls etc don't catch, nor protect against. For example, at another site I belong to, someone found a specific website (not given here for obviosu reasons) …

Awsome, welcome to Daniweb. Well that's a clean log. It's not spyware that seems to be the problem. Rather, it's a computer issue. Try downloading and using FireFox, and report back on how the problem is. (the link's in my sig below). Thanks.

Agreed fully. One should not be required to take further courses that they have no interest in (to a point). That's the very reason I'm leaning against a college that has core classes.

I really think the restarts are because your computer is getting too hot inside. First off, can you double check that all your fans are working. Secondly, open the case, have a fan blowing air into your computer, and try again. What happens?

Everything seems to be functioning fine, methings. The one other thing you might need to worry about is security. With your setup, anyone could be using youre internet connection. The way around this is WEP, basically wireless encryption. I would reccomend using this if you begin to feel security contentious. …

I think I must add, I hate MessengerPlus from the security perspective. With most downloads, 'addons' are checked for installation (with a checkbox to opt out). However, one of the 'addons' is LOP, a difficult infection to remove that's been known to cause some harm to computers.
