Re: There are programs, but in my opinion, it is not right to take someones elses work, even if it is just for informational/educational purposes. If they wanted you to have it, they would make a tutorial.

Re: Certain colors are said not to go together becuase people who have various forms of color blindness can't see them. Here is some information regarding that. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb263953.aspx In the sense of red and green, most people would say to avoid that because it is too christmasy, but in actuality red …
Re: I would strongly recommend against making a fixed width table of 1024. For starters, even with 1024 x 768 res, people will have to scroll to the right because of the width of the vertical scroll bar. Furthermore, if someone has a resolution of only 800 x 600, they will …
Re: Access is a very unforgiving app in that when working with tables, you only get 1 undo (with the exception of deleting because once its gone, it's gone). You could try to do a restore, but usually with windows restore, the files remain the same and the system configuration is …
Re: How many users are you expecting to have registered? How many people do you expect to have logged on at the same time? How many pictures do you anticipate people uploading? Are you limiting the picture size that can be uploaded? Buddylee gave good suggestions, but you need to provide …
Re: What do you mean by a curve effect on the bottom. Do you want the outline of the box to be curved like a rounded rectangle (but on the bottom only) or are you talking about making it look 3D and using a gradient to look like the the middle …
Re: Do you have a test server online? If not then no amount of FTP settings will work for you. Do you have content within your site that requires a server to process? If not, then you don't need to do anything with a test server. Just says everything will be …
Re: Don't listen to what other people recommend for a book. Everyone learns different so what I find to be very useful, you might think is useless. What I do recommend to people who ask is to learn one part of the program. Use it and understand it. Then read that …
Re: Are you using the same file names(just overwriting the existing files in the directory)? If so after you upload it, try to hit refresh on your browser. It is possible the page is cached. I've experienced that with Firefox when I upload my new pages sometimes. Refresh bring in the …

Re: Disabling right click doesn't work anyway because someone can view the source to see the url of the picture with the file name, type that into a browser window and you have the picture in a window all by itself with no disbaled right click.
Re: If when you say good design you are talking about appearance, then no, that is not necessary. But IMO design also includes layout and having an application that is well organized and user friendly is very important. Have a well programmed application is great, but if users cant enter data …
Re: Just to ask the obvious, you did upload all of the images within the images folder correct? Going along the lines of what buddylee wrote, if you are using a web design app (Frontpage or Dreamweaver) and you insert pictures before you save the file for the first time, it …
Re: But why ask them to give you reputation? If someone wants to give it they will, but asking for someone to give it is lame. :)
Re: You need to know what kind of blur you want. Gaussian blur IMO works best for most blurs, but motion blur also has benefits. It all depends. Filter --> Blur --> . . .
Re: Apparently the site http://diabetespsychologist.com/ works fine so why not just use the same template and modify the colors. Or are you trying to duplicate what you saw from that template?
Re: If you only want it to go a few spaces over, put this into your code It may not be the most techonological or efficient, but it will work.
Re: Pupils are black, irises are different colors. The problem with doing this technique though is you lose that little spot of light (reflection) that all pupils have. It is very obvious when someone just paints over the red.
Re: Simple solution, why not just choose File --> save as Webpage within PowerPoint and link to the file it creates? Just make sure you upload the folder and htm and it should work. Granted it will not have all of PowerPoint's functionality, but it is fast, easy and no conversion …
Re: Give Filter --> Sharpen --> Unsharp mask a shot. The threshold should stay low (as in less then 5 usually but experiment). Increase the radius and the amount until desired. If the picture is too blury, there is nothing you can do. Setting too high of an amount or radius …

Re: If you are creating images, and you do not specify any kind of a blur effect, your images will not be blurry. One thing to avoid though would be making images small then increasing the size and vice versa. It wont necessairly make it blurry, but it can make it …

Re: The iif function has 3 parts (condition, true, and false). Your condition is SSN=50. If your condition is true, it will display 99, if the condition is false it will put in the SSN. This is based off how you wrote it anyway. What are you trying to get the …
Re: Maybe I'm completely missing what you have done, but why not make a button object with a movie clip in the up state. You have your on mouse over play the movie and at the same time it is already a button that can be clickable.
Re: As Peter_Budo said, use a PNG format for the image, and if necessary, also like he said do a trace bitmap within flash and just delete the outside shape that is created keeping whatever part of the image you want. PNG 24 with transparency should handle what you need. If …

Re: I'm not sure what kind of a technical name you are looking for, but you could set that up with different scenes in Flash.
Re: For the resizing, did you put in pixel sizes or percentages for the elements? I dont do much in the way of drop downs or anything, but the code you have is for an unordered list with the list points. I have no idea why it would have done that.
Re: I dont know much in the way of a tutorial on it, but that should be nothing more than having the graphic of the world, then doing a motion tween and increasing the size of the graphic to be only on Bali. Instant zoom in.
Re: If you can put up the code that is having this problem and also screen shots or the weblink if it is already online it might help in figuring out the problem.
Re: As far as accessibility goes, most people should have flash player now (since it is a free download), but people with slow internet connections or who are not computer savvy might be hesitant about downloading and installing something online they are not too sure about. |
