Are you simply after finding out how to build a PC from scratch? You would be better off deciding what type of machine you want; do you want a high end one or just a basic one. What would you be using it for? Try looking at buildyourown to find …

I had a similar problem when my cousin forgot her password and she was the only user. I ended up using Ophcrack and that solved the password problem. If you don't want anything off the hard drive I think it would be better to have a fresh install of windows, …

I believe the file extension is required. some acceptable addresses would be: -www.mycompany.co.uk/index.html -www.mycompany.co.uk/about.html If someone types -www.mycompany.co.uk/ in the address bar it automatically displays the index.html file. People are used to file extensions in their address bar. Provide links on your website to these other pages and you should …

I don't think getting a new motherboard would be worth it; even if you could find one. Does the laptop work without the battery? How full is your HDD? For now it may be worthwhile turning hibernation off.

Have you tried Firefox? When you download something with firefox a box comes up with what you are downloading, try clicking on what you have downloaded and it should come up. Can you still get anti-virus updates and windows updates?

There could be a bit of a conflict between the two anti-viruses slowing your system. You may want to remove some programs from start-up. Do you have any useless or non-important programs running at start up?
