Does the screen work at boot-up? When you get the Toshiba screen. Also try connecting it to an external display as Majestic suggested. It could well be just a loose connection, as the wires they use are almost like tape and are quite flimsy. Dazza  Welcome to Daniweb by …

Ebuyer is a good one, tend to be half the price of the high street for most things, also budpak is pretty good. If you're buying in bulk - if you had a store for instance, Alibaba would be good as well. Dazza

Linksys are actually a pretty good brand - partly as they're the domestic division of Cisco. The Linksys router do provide you with sufficent tools to minimise these sort of attacks however you'll never to 110% secure - sadly that's just the world we live in. As DimaYasny said above; …

Evening, I believe the limit is set at 5Gb, most ISP's class a download as any data you receive. So without surfing you're looking at around 5 films. Or a couple of thousand MP3's. Be wary as most ISP's will charge you through the nose if you go over - …

Check the settings on your router. Try changing them to channel 6 and G only as opposed to G & B. Sounds daft but the PSP had similar issues and that's what generally solved them. Dazza

For a while Vista was unable to properly read 4Gb RAM, but this should have been fixed in recent updates though? To my knowledge systems prefer even numbers when it comes to RAM rather than odd ones, I.e 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 etc. So not sure if you'll get …

Evening Chris, Haven't heard of this one before. Please forgive me if I'm wrong but my belief was that Firewire was originally designed to be the next generation of USB before USB 2.0 was released with better data rates. Firewire is typically used to transfer media from camera's and camcorder's …

Would usually boot ok, just won't remember anything. Data & Time for example. Most Motherboards, have a CMOS battery that you can replace. I recently rebuilt a Laititude D600 and was nice and easy - good access to everything etc. Dazza

I'll have to agree with Bobbyraw, besides unless you run something like SeaTools on the drives you'll have no idea how much use it has had etc. You're better of just getting a new drive matey, and leave referbs alone. You should try to avoid them like the plague, you've …
