Re: I'm very confused. Are you using something like Blogger? The code is the start of an unordered listing of items (be them links, etc) with the unique name 'monthly' to describe and attach a CSS style to the collection.
Re: This has been asked in the past. Unfortunately, while I would like to, I am still not proficient in the code which powers the Quick Reply box, and will need to study up on it more. I'm finding the code very messy.
Re: That IS the idea behind giving reputation within a post. I think what you're suggesting is to make reputation comments public.
I found this in a few different places around the 'net - hopefully it's helpful: Place a "Run" Icon On Your Desktop

Open the Start Menu and drag the Run option on to your desktop. Re: I don't remember their names offhand, but there are a good number of forum hosting companies out there already, and sites that give you free forums on their domains. Most are PHP though (ie phpBB forums).
Re: Hi there, welcome to DaniWeb. Just a note ... there is no need to manually hit [Enter] after each line you type. It will automatically word wrap :)
Re: Woot ... just noticed that we have like eight PR7 pages now. Probably more, but that's all I've found so far. I can't even count the number of PR6's.
Please help me! I have Panther installed on my G5. I was just using Safari to browse the web when Safari froze up on me. I tried killing the app and the rest of my machine froze completely. I waited a few minutes and nothing happened so I decided to …

Re: Post on other christian and religious forums on the web, make contacts, and put a link to your own site in your signature. Write articles and distribute them on the web. Get your name out there. Remember word of mouth advertising is free.

Re: We don't have censoring enabled which is what is confusing me. Is anyone else receiving that error trying to edit their signature? I edited my signature this afternoon as a test with no problems.
Re: I disagree. I frequently check out forum signatures. Even here, I visit the signatures of members, especially in the webmaster forums. Often the sites someone posts in their signature are a good indication of their experience level.
Re: That's definitely the way to go. Even at the size DaniWeb is, I still regularly post to keep discussion going. It never ends, but I guarantee you will see progress if you're dedicated and devoted to making it succeed. Just give it a little more time.
Re: Unfortunately I can't help but is the part about you purchasing it at Fort Knox a joke? :)
I added a page border around all of the contents. I was wondering what people thought? Any suggestions? Thanks!
Re: This seems like a homework problem. So lets think it out rationally. There's a large chemical company that pays people on commission. Okay, so that means that the employees are going to earn a portion of their sales. Now we read the sales people receive $200/week plus 9% of their …

Re:
I telnetted into this guy's toothbrush terminal a few weeks ago, and lo and behold I had r00t. I disabled quikbrush function and the dude hasn't been able to brush his teeth for a month...
That's the funniest thing I've heard all day.
Re: Visit = A single visit, sometimes called a session, is when a visitor accesses the website and visits any number of pages within a specific time period, before leaving the site. This is the up and coming best metric for analyzing website traffic. Pageview = A single page access. A …

Re: This isn't exactly the right place to ask this question. Try looking in our Website Marketplace.
Re: In addition to that, if we can show Google that our news entries are being referenced all the time, it will make them reconsider including us - I hope!
Re: It's not possible to upgrade the OS on the PDA?
Re: The entire DaniWeb style is very custom, including the idea of having the post in a little speech bubble. Of course, we're using vBulletin's postbit template (introduced in vBulletin 3.0) instead of postbit_legacy template (popular in vBulletin 2.x series), which has the username and everything on the left instead of …
Re: I'm sorry to hear all of that. Are you sure you didn't accidentally infect yourself with some type of virus or trojan which just started acting up now?
Re: You Passed 8th Grade Math Congratulations, you got 10/10 correct! Could You Pass 8th Grade Math? http://www.blogthings.com/couldyoupasseighthgrademathquiz/
Re: I am also confused what the incentive is. It seems that it would be really hard for the system to grow to any scale that would deliver a relatively substantial number of visitors to any of the websites. Or am I just missing something?
Re: Same here. I always use the www and encourage anyone who links to DaniWeb to do the same. Re: Check out phpAdsNew - it's a free ad management system. I don't know of any that primarily deal with bidding and cost-per-click campaigns - most are for banner campaigns, in which case, payment is usually made in advance.
Re: I'm also getting an error with attachments, so I will look into that in a few minutes. I really don't think it's too dangerous of an option because you're not really deleting anything serious ... just your listing of people you want quick access to know when they're online. It's …

Re: I'm an IE 6 user. However, I have FireFox installed but mainly use it just to test out DaniWeb and make sure it's 100% cross-browser compatible.
Re: I think certifications, as well as a degree to some point, will only give you book knowledge. You actually need to go out and DO to get the experience, and that's what jobs are looking for more than anything. Now myself, I'm sorry to say I hold no certifications :( …

Re: Sorry, I fail to see the unethical aspect to search engine indexing and crawling. The way that I see it, Google provides you with a service. They send you free traffic. You have the option of not receiving this free traffic by using a robots.txt file. However, if you enjoy …
Re: Aside from backlinks, they're really good for viral marketing, because blog entries and press releases and the sort get syndicated throughout the web.
Re: Better late than never! :) While our C and C++ forum is more popular, our .NET forums just need a bit more care from people who are knowledgeable enough to help. For example, the VB.NET forum has some recently posted threads that are still unanswered. *hint hint* |
The End.
